right off the bat, the ergonomics look attrocious. I wouldn't want to use it for long.

I saw that in the new issue of Backpacker. Got to tell you, I didn't know whether to laygh or admire this. But one thing comes to ming - if you lose it you lose a lot of your essential tools (fire, knife, mirror, whistle, GPS, watch). Besides dropping a few hundred bucks, you would be without the things you may most count on.... If it was cheaper than purchasing all the above items, it might make some sense but it looks like the pricetag is similar to purchaseing all of the above separately.

When I first saw it I thought it was a joke. I can't imagine it being easy to use and I seriously doubt it would fit in a pants or shirt pocket not to the extremely high price.

Myerchin offers a knife with a LED. Silva a matchcase with smalll compass. Antique kukris came with up to a dozen small accessories, predating the Swiss Army knife and out muscling their multi tool descendents. Sometimes you get the bear. Sometimes the bear gets you.See www.bizindex.com/sporth

It doesn't make sense to me, but I guess someone had to make it eventually. I would much rather have all those functions as separate elements-- much easier to use that way, and a lot less expensive. And you can pick and choose the ones you prefer. That electronic compass won't be much good after the batteries freeze or run down, and how do you use the light to illuminate something you are working on with the knife?

This is just the kind of thing that is bound to fly off the shelves of retailers such as "The Sharper Image" as holiday gifts for people with more dollars than sense. Too bad. For less money and bulk those folks could have had a comprehensive PSK and a respectable knife and/or multi-tool, too.

Shame on Schrade. Shame! This is pure, outright marketing hype, not worthy of their highly practical cutting tools, which I've used for years.

These were my sentiments exactly. It does not look ergonomic at all and has too many things dangling around in the way. Way too expensive too.
