folks..i know there are sites that handle this but i thought i would run this past a friendly,i hope, crowd.
i put up some canoe trip videos at the Tube as "wetcanoedogs"
just as fun to see if i could do it and share with a couple traveling buddys from NY,i'm in Minnesota.
so to try and make them better i got a $50 HD camcorder which seems to take videos nicer that the ones from the movie setting on my old Olympus Stylus.by the way i got a cheap camera because it won't be a big loss if it go's over board.
i downloaded a "how to pack food" video with the new HD and after the HOUR it took to finish it turned out broken down into color bands after i tried to edit out the start and finish where i fiddled with the camera to start and end the shot.
other trys after taking it out and reloaded twice ended up with the same result.
i downloaded a video of me going back to a old tarp shelter site where i was in 83 and was done with the Stylus last summer and it was fine..take a look at that ..
so anyway..any Tubers out there who can give me some direction?

I've never tried to post a video to YouTube, so I can't offer any assistance BUT... I'd love to see those videos!!

I use a freeware program called Videopad to do minor editing tasks like stitching video segments together.

It is simple and works about 10X better than the MS Movie Maker.

Annotation is best done using the tools on youtube, IMO.

I have some videos there. Mostly hiking videos starring my faithful hiking companion Wilma the creek beagle.
