I promised Frisket that I'd post a pic of my day/day hike pack and since I'm repacking tonight for a family hike tomorrow, here it is. It's almost EDC. I carry it when I'm more than a short walk back to my jeep, and also on day hikes. It stays in the Jeep when I'm not carrying it, so in that sense, with me every day.



*candle in pic has been removed
*bug spray and suncreen will be added as the weather warms, as will a bucket-style hat and thinner top (instead of the wool jacket)
*there are 2 carabiners are attached to the outside of the pack for attacjing a second nalgene bottle and stuff sack/dump pouch for my son's and little Scout's treasures found along the way.

SMALL FRONT POCKET: CPR face mask and shield, nitrile gloves

FRONT POCKET: LED lightstick, LED headlamp, lanyard with FOX 40, squeeze LED, Gerber Clutch, ferro rod, Star Wars LED

MIDDLE POCKET: FAK (augmented AMK Field Trauma Kit) OTC meds, modular gadget/tool kit

BIG POCKET: esbit stove and 12 tabs, SS water bottle nested in tin can, OD GI poncho, 2 person Heat Sheet, 25 ft 550, 2 hand warmers, Ruko Muela fixed blade, match safe (with strike anywhere matches, 2 cotton balls and 2 birthday candles), med vial with 5 AAAs, toilet per, glasses case, fleece jacket (with socks, mitts and banadana in pockets), lined rain pants, blaze orange hat, bag of snacks and hot drinks (via, hot choco, peppermint tea, 3 cliff bars, sesame honey bars, peanut MMs)
