Trouble with Wal-Mart stores is they track their inventory quite closely these days. If your store isn't selling enough of a product? Then they're going to choose not to sell it in the store. This combined with Wal-Mart's new practice of every 24-32 months "renovating" each store makes life difficult for people who're accustomed to going to Wal-Mart and finding the same thing they have been finding there for 30 years.
That makes sense. I've notice that the Walmart further into the urban area has a lot less camping/outdoor gear than the one that is another half hour out towards the more mountain/undeveloped areas.
