Hiya. New member, first post.

I'm looking for a source for something I've read about called a Milbanks Bag, or Millbank Bag. It's used to filter sediment out of water to be treated and seems to be some kind of tightly woven canvas bag. If it helps, the information I have about it describes it as being used in British Army survival kits.

Any information on how to obtain one in the United States or even make one would be greatly appreciated.

Milbank bags has cropped up before on this forum. Try searching for Milbank on the forum search.
However I don't think anyone found a supplier in the US.

hi alecwire. and welcome to this great forum..on the subject of millbank bags,yes thier was a thread posted a while back on these bags . i have tried to find a source here in the u.s. but i could not.. i got my first bag in the u.k. about 8 years back..i think if you want one you will have to look to getting it in england ...try here http//www.stirkeforcesupplies.co.uk/25html here thier e-mail also strikeforcesupplies@talk21.com .it comes in a kit with iodine drops etc..i have tried to make one in the past but could not find the proper cloth... i hope this helps...vince g. <img src="images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
