Redundancy in computer apllications isn't all that helpful at times. I can think of 4 applications I use that, if allowed would all try and control cookies. All have other roles, but limiting their functions (ie reading the options and switching off anything that clashes) simplifies life.
At worst conflicting applications cause problems big enough to crash your PC, and possibly damage your system files. <img src="images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
