That is cool. I never saw a genuine military WWII jungle hammock before. They've been cheaply copied to death.
I have one of the M1966 GI jungle hammocks and it is ok, I have used it in Panama and Puerto Rico but it is so narrow! It has no bug netting (you need the GI Mosquito bar)and it uses a GI poncho for the cover. There are some shockcorded toggles for quick attachment of the poncho.
I have since invested in a proper jungle hammock that has a nice tarp and the hammock is 6' x 9'. It has a separate netting that can be easily hung.
