I've had a cluster of new people encountering our log in glich. The attachment I've sent to so many is failing to resolve the problem. If anyone who suffered this "right of passage" has any further tricks of use, please post. On another note, I was severely bitten by an ungratefull ranch cat. I am one handed and fighting a fever . My local and beloved coyote couple eagerly accepted the contract I put on the beastie . please forgive any typoes.

Chris,

Wish I had something substantial to submit, but that is not the case. As you probably recall, I too had some headaches in getting logged in, hence the 7 after my moniker. LOL Yes folks, I was persistent and it finally paid off...

Glad that I'm not a ranch cat about now. Hope you heal well and soon. Don't really know which is worse, a cats claws or their teeth, one can come up with all kinds of ugly germs and bacteria to get infections from either.

Regards,
Comanche7

I had a problem with my firewall (Norton) not letting me post for a while. I'm using a different firewall now and don't remember the specifics. Something like setting custom levels and allowing my IP when posting. The default was to not allow. Anybody with Norton able to shed further light?
HTH,
Ed

FWIW the only times I had problems logging in was when my browser was rejecting equipped.orgs cookies, which is easily fixed through the options panel.
I run the Zonealarm firewall which has caused me no problems at all, even in its "stealth" (highest security setting)
mode.

Don't even talk about Norton! We have been having some major problems with it. Nothing seems to work anymore.

I really had no trouble getting started here last week. I just took my time and studied the details as I went, and was logged on in short order. The thread trails are a bit confusing at first, but I went in and changed my personal settings right off, and it is working out well for me now.

When I first tried to log in the Forum, I had problems, due to the Norton Firewall I have on my home computer.
A bit of configuration solved that pb.
I still have pb, when I want to post something. I have to disable the Firewall, then send the post, then re-enable the Firewall....
