I just got a Golite Cave 2 shelter, I have camped in it several times already. When packed it is VERY small and extremely light. Compared to other lightweight backpacking tents it is very small due to not having any poles (It's a Tarp.) By using trek poles or sticks for the guiding poles, it is very stable in heavy winds. Also being waterproof a thunderstorm didn't stop me! Its versatility is awesome in varying situations. Check it out at: Golite Homepage

Here's another design I own and use:

Dancing Light Gear Tarptent

20 oz including all lines and stuff sack - also has bug netting. Same basic idea of using a trekking pole for support. I've used it throughout the fall and am about to try it on a winter camping trip (combined with a bivy sack).

Also, the Henry Shires Tarptent is a nice product with a good reputation.

I've backpacked with others who've used the Tarptent Squall and Golite Den and Cave, and we've all been happy with our choices. Each offers a slightly different feature set, and I don't think you'd go wrong with any of these.
