So I took this trip as an opportunity to try out a verision of my new all-purpose pack, which is a hybrid "BOB/72 Hr/PSK" that lives in my jeep usually.

Basically, except for the beer on the desk here @ the hotel and the computer, I'm using nothing but what I carried with me for food, water and for keeping warm at night.

Yes, I'm in a hotel room in one of the nicest hotels in Washington DC, and it's a bit silly, but at the same time, I really wanted to see what would jump out as "gee I wish I had that" to see what life might be like in, say, a shelter or a tent, or something like that.

So, already, I'm seeing that I should have packed more bandannas. Made some dinner (Organic Canned Ravioli, Bannana Chips, Beef Jerky and a piece of candy) and wanted to clean the bowl and utensils. Well, now I have bandanna out of service until it dries a bit.

I'll update you all on this drill as it goes on.

I've carried a wash towl, fairly small in size, for cleaning chores and two bandannas for personal hygene and possible medical bandages.

Keep up the good work. If you wanted to really be tough, build a debris hut in the middle of your hotel room and sleep in it. I'm sure no one will mind. <img src="images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
