Izzy,
It's funny how the photos of those Leatherman's (especially the top two) strongly remind me of photos of Japanese "Transformers"-type die-cast metal robot toys from when I was a young kid. They had movable parts that went every which way. Waaaay more interesting than Hot Wheels! smile

Gosh...could it be...they're trying to tap into the nostalgia of guys for the toys of their youth? wink Actually, I wouldn't put it past the marketing folks. So many TV commercials are meant to evoke some emotional response to something from our youth.

Sorry, I digress from the topic--back to the regularly scheduled programming.

it would be nice if Leatherman would design an "urban" tool...The Rebar is close...have Squirt sized scissors and a replace the sheepsfoot blade with a hacksaw blade in case you ever had to saw thru some "rebar"

Be wary of "rescue hooks" with "V" shaped blades. I tested one of Leatherman's prototype hooks with that blade design. While it did cut seat-belt webbing OK, just about any material not as stiff (including rope, paracord and tubular webbing) would foul the blade rather easily.

Hooks with curved blades, for example Benchmade's or straight blades like the Ontario Model 1 Rescue tool work better with a variety of materials.
