I was doing a search on Google for "survival equipment" and found ETS. I was hooked from the start, as it is by far the best, broadest, and most logically grounded sites i've ever found, period..

Almost all the other sites I came across were chocked full of kooky "survivalists" that were giving each other advice on how many 55 gallon barrels of wheat germ to keep in the lead lined basement next to the weapons cache... Either that or folks that were so ultimately sold on only primitive survival skills that they considered making a fire with anything other than friction blasphemy..

So, finding this site was great! I was really glad to see that there are still other people who are also interested in real honest to goodness survival skills and equipment.
