Thanks guys yeah, I've thought about flashlights. I have 2 on me Fenix E21 in holster and one pocket light. I'm needing one for unlit areas beyond the parking lot to the bldg. (Church lockup duties)

Seems like we have several people here with some experience with spotlights.

Is there any way you can quantify how much light you need? You say you need it "for unlit areas beyond the parking lot to the bldg" for church lockup each night. If you could quantify it like "30-60 minutes of run time and a lot of light out to about half a mile" that would probably help. Then again, maybe I'm just being a little dense. wink

I've destroyed the batteries in two different Brinkmann rechargeable spotlights by forgetting to keep the batteries charged up regularly. I've not been able to find replacements online.

After the second one died the very same way after very little use I've given up on them.

I'm thinking hand held 1 million cp unit the sites I've been to don't offer many good reviews,
