Glad I was no "hero" in this incident, or I would have screwed up big time.
I was standing in line at the cashier of a big store. In front of me was a parent and a kid . Dad paid and rolled his trolley and it was my turn. I started putting my gorceries on the cashier table, but the kid was not moving forward. He started crying !! His hand was facing down ( his fingers pointing downwards) and the back of his hand look like glued to the desk !!
One of the staff guys came and loosened his finger. Only then a ring appeared on there. It was an eyescrew, and was there apparently to hold a chain when they close that lane. The kid "wore" it like a ... ring !!!
So, next time when something happen, don't trust what you see at first glance !!!
Don't act on your assumptions.
