Again.

Harold is sure he's got the right date this time. Probably. Well, maybe.

All I can say is, his timing is really bad. I just bought a carton of chocolate ice cream (on sale) today to celebrate getting my firewood in.

And now the end of the world is coming. Tomorrow. Not only am I not able to finish the ice cream, but all my wood will be wasted, too.

Maybe God will strike ole Harold with a lightning bolt -- maybe he foresaw HIS apocalypse, rather than everyone else's.

And I'm going to bed in my old, ratty pajamas, so there! mad

The guy sure sounds like a nut.

Actually, I'm a little busy on Friday. I'm wondering if Wednesday is open. Yeah, let's pencil the end of the World for Wednesday. I'll let you know if anything comes up.

A 4.0 quake hit the San Francisco Bay area this evening, and a 4.5 on the Big Island of Hawaii, plus a 4.6 in Texas in this morning.

Wasn't there an earthquake somewhere in the W. U.S. the last time Harold predicted the apocalypse?

He doesn't seem very accurate with apocalypses (is that right? Apocalypti?), but maybe he's tuned into subterranean plate activity instead, and can't seem to tell the difference?

Actually, it has been quiet in SoCal the last few days- no reports of any significant quake activity for at least the last 48 hours (anything greater than 2.5). Usually we get one to three shakers in that range.

You can have it both ways. If it's quiet, it is just the calm before the storm.

A good lesson in determining the value of information.

The great thing about these guys is that, since there are so many of them, someday one of them will be right!

The bad thing is that nobody will be around to recognize it.

Anyone leave rather unexpectedly?

Or did he miscalculate again?

Well, I guess Harold has had a double-whammy bust.

I was 'trapped' up in Seattle all day, so I'm glad it wasn't a semi-Apocalypse where I was forced to walk home.

It's just as well-- I have a lot of unfinished projects to work on.
