That is a great case for knowing when to help and when the best help you can be is to be out of the way.
She did a great job of helping and even being out of the way. She drug the driver to a safe distance and thus was also out of the way allowing EMS to be in one spot and the fire crew to do there job in another spot.
The guy who was arested could have just been adamant that he be part of helping to put out the fire. and as those of you who have worked in Fire or Rescue know, even the most well meaning "civilain" helping will just get in the way.
