After up-grading to a plastic bucket on the boat during our annual fishing trip recently, I'd suggest double-bagging or industrial strength, and maybe some sort of privacy.

Going in a bucket with your best friends around is very different than going in front of everyone on public transit.

All thay said, a bag is better than nothing. Be prepared!
