Well, it is October. That means I have to start making my Christmas list. I am going to be beefing up the Big Bag for the car. I will definitely be looking at CountyComm's Breacher Bar and some their other toys. What are you looking at?

If you don't already carry a snow shovel, I'm carrying a Voile Tele Pro (no affiliation). Carrying a snow shovel in the car has saved my bacon more than once.

EOD Breacher bar has been on my Christmas list for a couple years. Thanks for the reminder, I'll pull that trigger myself as my family obviously doesn't take me seriously.

I've been hammering my packs this summer. I have been pushing their performances to the limit with weight and odd sized items. I've got a few bookmarked that I want to try out.

I just got the "mid" version of the breacher bar (3/4 size). It looks real handy and versatile, just right for a lot of chores that are a bit too much for a knife. I might do a bit of additional sharpening on some of the edges.

I now resides in my EDC pack, ready to go to work.

Remington 700, if I can convince my wife. But she likes guns to, and she can shoot. I want .308, just because I am very familiar with the ballistics, and there are few models that come in that caliber. I love the 700 and have used it a lot.

If not that, gift certificates or cash allowances for my favorite sites.

GoalZero 7w solar panel, and Goal 10 battery pack

gift of 3500w electric start Honda generator and siphon fuel system....additional 12v battery for fans...Rigid portable drill

back up to propane grill and camp stove, and change wicks in Dietz lanterns to high grade kerosene

Sawyer .1 micron 5 gal water filter

vacuum food processor and vacuum pack 3months of staples...more next year...rearranged food storage so supplies are visible

new techniques to solar heat water, and small proof of concept solar water desal projects (still a little less than 200ml a day)

upgrades to EDC... light to Fenix E01 with lithium...separate out heavy items in car bag

accuracy testing of 9mm 147grain ammo after poor performance at Ft Benning 2010...new bolt carrier for carbine #2...dedicated CMMG upper for .22lr

upgrade trauma kit with hemostatic gauze, compression bandages, and nasal pharangeal airway

thanks for all the suggestions
