Is your tap water sweet? It could be due to the environmental build up of sucralose (a synthetic chlorinated carbohydrate called 1,6-Dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-beta-D-fructofuranosyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-alpha-D-galactopyranoside), which doesn't decompose readily in the environment. http://www.greenmedinfo.com/article/sucr...-million-peopleIt makes one wonder how many folks the chemical has past through previously? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucralose Environmental effects
According to one study, sucralose is digestible by a number of microorganisms and is broken down once released into the environment.[27] However, measurements by the Swedish Environmental Research Institute have shown that wastewater treatment has little effect on sucralose, which is present in wastewater effluents at levels of several micrograms/litre.[28] There are no known eco-toxicological effects at such levels, but the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency warns that there may be a continuous increase in levels if the compound is only slowly degraded in nature.

Thats disturbing. I also read that many drugs excreted and disposed of in the toilet don't break down either.

I also read that many drugs excreted and disposed of in the toilet don't break down either. Yes, that's one of the main arguments about recycled drinking water. It's actually treated sewage effluent, and while the pathogens have been removed (mostly), many drugs and chemicals get through the filtering process. YUCK! Sue

Sue To doctor the spin a bit: everyone downstream is getting free doses of anti-hypertensive, anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, anti-conception, anti-erectile dysfunction medications, and estrogen. Suggests that we will see movement toward a society of relaxed, calm, sexually active people in touch with their feminine side. ...this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius... Peace and love, my brothers and sisters.

Didn't they call it 'Soma' back in the 1930's I believe there is also talk of adding 'Lithium' to the public supply as well. Can anyone recommend a full under sink reverse osmosis filter installation with activated carbon filter to take care of the heavy metals, radionuclide's, hormones and chemicals such as pesticides and similar chlorinated organics such as Sucralose?

AND guys with big boobs. when I n Sue I knew that this was coming noticed that all of my college classmates who did a lot of dope graduated and went to law school. I was expecting that marijuana would be legal by 1990 and mandatory by 2010, but they figured out a better way. Like estrogen THC causes gynecomastia, and these folks mostly REALLY LIKED big boobs. Am Fear: distillation should do it, and it gives one a valid reason for owning a still, so you won't miss all the fun.
