Don't throw out your out of date pepper spray containers! Most bears, dogs and racoons will bite a properly prepared can.

Wrap them in the end of a pair of nylons. Tie a knot in the nylon. Smear your favorite food - bacon grease, fresh fish or whatever all over the nylon.
