My very first (and really only goal) is to get my wife and kids out of the mall and as far away from danger as possible. I'm not drawing my gun, I'm not figuring out how to take the bad guy down, I'm not going to try to help anybody else who's been injured. I'm not even taking the time to call 911 yet. I'm going to try to keep the kiosk between us and the shooter and get to the door.

If his path of travel makes that impossible I'm going to look for the nearest store that we can get to without attracting his attention and get out their back door.
