wayneburg, it's funny you are worried about what your co-workers will think of you for having a knife on you. Granted, an 8 inch blade hanging from your belt deserved a second look and maybe even some time with a psychologist, but a small folding blade less than 4 inches shouldn't be a problem anywhere.

I assume you are in the US and most state laws state that any blade over 4" must not be concealed. The clip on a spyderco can be showing and that satisfies the law. You could walk around with a samurai sword in most states as long as it isn't concealed.

As far as what you co-workers think- mine just think my tendencies toward being prepare add a little spice to the work environment and make work more fun.

No, no no! You don't microwave 'em - you hang them from your fruit trees or around newly-seeded lawn areas to keep the birds away. Works for me.
Plus, you have a lifetime supply of coasters.

Well.... If you haven't tried this by now I'll tell. The metal layer vaporizes in an very fractal like pattern leaving very interesting random art. Lots of fun.
