I also do not see any method for viral inactivation, so depending upon where you are using the filter; you may still need to treat the water.

A. First consider where you will use your filter. If it’s here in North America, then the 0.1 filter will probably do just fine. However, if you suspect there are viruses in the water then you need to either use the o.02 filter or add a small amount of chlorine to the water. If you are traveling overseas, the 0.02 would be the safest choice.

but silver-ceramic is probably cheaper
