anybody have a heads up on a <$20 LED AA headlamp?
Searching for "
LED headlamp AA" and sorting by price found a number of options. Granted, I have no idea which are actually trustworthy products.
Headlamps are tricky buggers to figure out quality wise. I have 2 TWO Streamlight headlamps and neither work even tho they seem to display a decent quality.
My advice on headlamps, being the owner of several, and gawker of dozens more, is pony up and buy a Petzel Tikka 2 or Tikka Plus 2 (w/ red light). Really any of the Tikka line is top notch. Its way over you'r budget, $40 vs. $20 but it is pretty much a top 3 or better headlamp on the market. Invest the extra money up front and you won't be buying another one later when the cheaper one bellys up on you.
