After many years of not tying knots, I have decided to get things going again. So, I am going to ask for some help and put you folks to the test. If you would keep an eye out for a US source of the following:
Real/original Belfast or Dreadnought Cord as described here:
Frayed Knot Arts - Belfast Cord (great web site)
Examples of cording:
Examples of Cordage Since this stuff was widely sold through military exchanges into the 60-70s, perhaps you might come across some as some in a military surplus store, if so please let me know.
I have recently purchased some various cording from Martin Combs (
Martin Combs Books and Cordage ) and it is great stuff, but not quite the same as the original.
Also a US source for real/original cotton Cod Line.
I have several sources of traditional tarred marline, so I am okay there.
Thanks-
Pete
