When I turned on the morning news and received all appropriate "alerts" I can assure you that the mood seemed to be "business and travel as usual." Few people even seemed annoyed by the fact that the Bush administration was saying "something will happen", but all admit they have heard this story one to many times in the post 9/11 era. I understand caution, but fewer people are taking any preparation steps or changing their plans. Comments I have heard today range from "I wonder if Tom Ridge is crying wolf again or what?" to outright, "The terrorists are winning, because everytime they scurry about our gov't reacts in a fear of cowardice." These comments are heard, which I ususally counter with are you even prepared in case of any event. Look at the earthquake in California. How many were unprepared will never be known, but we will hear about a lot of them versus those that had some kind of plan.
