I'm looking for a few very small (1/2 oz or 1 oz) Nalgene or similar quality bottles for dispensing drops. I like the flip-top dispensing droppers on the larger Nalgene bottles, but can't find smaller ones. Some of their small bottles have the removable cap, which I don't want, because it is prone to accidental opening. I want one that is rugged and leakproof.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

They also have a 1/2 oz size, but it's a screw on cap.

I'm puzzled; most of the bottles in this size range have screw on caps, including the one pictured by NuggetHoarder, which is a type I use. The caps are quite substantial and are not prone to accidental opening. If these bottles don't have removable caps, it must be a very interesting process to fill them.

do a search for "dropper bottles" FWIW... I used these type bottles for 30 years, and it is hard not to contaminate the spout of the flip top ones, always preferred those with a screw off top

I faced the same problem. The little Nalgene bottles won't hold up, especially under pressure. Squeeze the bottle and some liquid will leak out.

You may wish to test it after you get it, to make sure it works for your purpose. The design isn't what you are asking for, but it doesn't leak in my test and in my experience.

I don't know what you're keeping in the bottle, but if it's non-medicinal, consider your local discount pharmacy as a source. Things like eyedrops come in small dropper bottles with screw-on lids that will hold up to a lot of use. Typically 0.5 - 1.0 ounce capacity. Just pour the junk out, suck in water to rinse, and then fill with whatever you please. My 2c.

Look for a contact lens travel kit.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am looking for something to put in small kits for a few fluids: chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, maybe isopropyl. I like the idea of Nalgene brand because they appear to be impervious to almost any liquid.

It looks tiny: 4ml, about 1/4 tsp. I think I now prefer the screw cap to protect the dropper.

I may look at some other bottles that already have stuff in them, but would need to thoroughly test them before trusting them to be rugged enough.

I have been carrying acid in the field for over 40 years in small screw top bottles like the one at:

They can be found at any geology, mining, rock hound, etc. shop.

I have never lost a top (while carrying ) or had a leak. Most of the time I carry them in a belt case or in the pocket of a belt case, but I often carry them in a pocket or pack.

Shave Secret, a handy shaving oil that helps keep chins smooth, and packs light, comes in a one ounce poly bottle very similar to the bottles suggested by JerryFountain. I've used them for repackaging and carrying sunscreen, butt creme, vinegar (great for athlete's foot) in my kit, and penetrating oil in my toolbox.

I have some of the Japonesque bottles, have had then since the early '70's and they are still working for me. I used them for everything from suncream to cooking oil, no problems at all with them. Glad to see they are still around!
