bacpacjac: Definitely! My 10 years in Scouts as a boy was a huge positive influence on my life, and the years that my dad was a Scout leader were some of the better times we've had together. My wife is quite resigned to my participation; she just wants me to wait until the boy is old enough to join before I dive in. She is quite correct in stating that the parents of current Scouts should step up before I do.

But I'm already taking online Leader training and eyeing up uniforms.

I can't fit into the one I wore 15 years ago for some reason. I guess it shrank.
