I am looking for a combination ruler [that is or includes metric] and color bar to include in photographs of man and animal tracks. So far I can find them only separate.

I couldn't find one on this site http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=color+chart+ruler&N=4293918168 they are one of if not the biggest photo retailer globally. I would give them a ring. They have a great reputation. No affiliation other than being a happy customer of theirs

Try a geological or archeological supply house, I have seen them, although B&W ones predominate. My small one has a N arrow and cm scales. I bought it from Miners (usual disclamer) www.minerox.com. I would expect that forensic suppliers would have them, but I have only seen them in kits with several in different colors.
