Was at the mall for 4 hours and realized not only is it good to break in in boots - its also good to toss out the badly worn ones...

Sometimes I hang on to old friends who should have an opportunity for reincarnation through the recycling.

It amazes me that Danner boots seem to require no break-in period at all. I did two 12hr days in new Acadia's with no pain or strain.

No affiliation, I just have 4 pairs of them. smile

Boots today break in easier than those of yesterday, which could be really tough cookies.

Let me tell you, bro, when you find boots that work with your feet/biomechanics that well, you buy 10 pair and store them in separate locations.

Words of wisdom. There is nothing better than shoes or boots that fit and do not hurt your feet. There is nothing worse than ones that do hurt. Footwear is not a place to try to save money. Good ones are worth every penny.

Good mattresses and good shoes. If you're not on one, you're in the other!

I've heard it said that old boots feel good twice each day; once when you put them on, and again when you take them off.

I have to say Merrell shoes, Thorlos socks or Smart Wool socks is the way to go. Take care of your feet and they'll take care of you.
