If you're in the market for a Becker Campanion knife, LA Police gear has a decent deal on them. $59, minus "15% off everything" current sale = approx $50. Evidently these knives are quite heavy duty. I don't own one personally to comment, but I saw the price and it's about the cheapest I've noticed on this particular model.

I have one, and I recommend that you go look at one before you buy.

It's a well-made knife but with relatively short, very heavy, 1/4 inch thick, blade.

It's definately not a 'slicer'.
