If you watch model numbers closely many electronics manufacturers will make a special model for sale at places like WalMart that is cheaper than a VERY similar model sold elsewhere. You have to decide if the difference in specs and/or quality is worth the price break. Many people don't notice and assume it's the same model they saw elsewhere.
That rarely happens. Simple reason is that such changes in a design would require a separate assembly lines, alternative parts supplies and stocks, parallel supply chains, etcetera. The most common result of pricing pressure from Wally is that they drop their profit margin and move their manufacturing to China.
