Does anyone know if the pouch that the excellent PSP+ comes in is available separately? I think the PSP+ is fantastic and wouldn't hesitate to buy it complete, but I already own the components, including the ones that make it the "plus" pak. It's a bit overkill to spend $75 just for the pouch. I know Pacific Outdoor makes the pouch but their individually available models are too big, the smallest one being about 6"x8".

There are plenty of (supposedly) wateproof little pouches around but I think the PSP+ container is one of the best designs I've seen. The small Alok-Saks are not bad but I've had trouble in the past with their seals, and I don't think they're as tough as the PSP+ pouch.

I think that having a pouch a little on the large size is not a bad thing. The smaller pouches are tough to get everything back into sometimes. I usually use the small pouches for something else and put my survival components in something a bit larger.

Not at this point.

The closest thing you can find is something from ULine. But, you cannot buy individually inexpensively. I would just recommend double-bagging quart-size ZipLocks or equivalent. Better to have a touch extra room than not quite enough.

And if you decide to go the double Ziploc route, at least use the freezer version, which is thicker than the regular one. Are there any small, cheap nylon stuff sacks for abrasion resistance?

I've scoured the net for a comparable pouch to no avail. There are some good waterproof bags out there but nothing quite like that one. The next best thing is probably either an Aloksak (I've had good luck with them but be aware that reviews are mixed) or some type of small dry bag.
