I'm sitting in my car, near the regional airport on high ground, trapped by flooded roads. Northwest Arkansas had has more than a foot of rain. Trying to make it home I drove through some standing water but declined to be a fool and drive into running water. I was shocked at how many people are so desperate they are driving through it.

My son had to cut some neighbor's fences to allow their trapped cows to get out of chest deep water.

He watched a pickup truck try to cross a flooded bridge. The truck's backend broke loose and turned him sideways but he managed to make it through.

Take a look at the radar from the Tulsa office of National Weather Service. We're going to be pounded for the whole night.

And I'll sit here happily safe in my little car. Warm, full belly, prepared.
