I have found the Leatherman saw to be a slight improvement over those found on SAK's by virtue of the locking feature(wave). Mine has held up well to an occasional sawing of wood up to a treated 2x4 and is still sharp. Ditto the short stroke comment.
Like all the other tools on the Leatherman I use it only when it is more convenient than going to get a real saw, screwdriver, etc.
All said, I still put a BRAIDED wire saw in my kits.
