I keep a spare pair (with sunglass clip-ons) in my EDC bag in a hard case. Very handy if I break my main pair or unexpectedly need cunglasses.

You can also find online outfits that sell prescription glasses for as little as $7 a pair (Google "cheap eyeglasses"), so redundancy could be a viable option too. You just need an up-to-date prescription to send off.
