This 9 year old Arizona boy performed CPR on his 2 year old baby sister who was found floating face down in their backyard pool. The sister revived and apparently is fine.
What is remarkable is that the boy learned CPR simply from watching TV! I wonder if he also did the requisite shouting of "C'mon! You're...not...going to...die...on me now!" that always accompanies CPR on TV.
The mother and grandmother were around, too, but sounds like they were of little use. This situation could have turned out so tragically.
Actually, what is the youngest age that people learn CPR? Lifeguards can generally be as young as, what, 16? Do scouts learn CPR younger than that?
