Thanks, all. It was a really fun hike. I like the challenge of getting off trail. Trails are great, but there's something really fun about pitting yourself against an off trail route and seeing if your body, technique, and navigation are up to snuff. This hike wasn't a huge challenge by any means, but just enough to make it interesting.
Anybody who bothers to remove someone else's trash gets high marks in my book
Yeah, one of the surest ways to get on my bad side is to let me catch you dumping trash in the wilderness. Fortunately, this stuff was only about three miles in, so it wasn't too bad to schlep everything out. Grrr to the person who left all that crap in there.
