Not that I don't admire your work, but -

There's a reason to never paint the handle on any wooden tool - the paint may hide signs of potential failure. Granted, this is a synthetic handle, however the same idea applies. What if the fiberglass under the dummycord wrap is starting to go, especially where someone made some overstrikes, right up by the head?

I think I'll pass on this one.

appreciate the comment, but it does not rank up there on my list of concerns when I use my paracord-handled hatchet.
