I was opening bags of sand this weekend with my Leatherman Wave. I LOVE THAT TOOL. Both me and the Wave got covered with sand dust and grit. What's the best way to clean a Wave and remove any grit adhering to it? I tried to whisk broom it, but I think it needs a little more TLC.<br><br>

Any idea where to buy the compressed air in a can, how much it costs and what brand names it is sold under?<br><br>Also, once I have cleaned my Wave or knife, I find Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide works extremely well to clean the implements even better and apply a rust-resistant coating at the same time. Virtually any gun store carries it. Other than that, try www.google.com and search on the name and you'll probably find lots of online sources.<br><br>As for the restoration project, that's beyond my experience. I use warm, soapy water and lubricate with whatever high- tech bicycle chain-lube I favor at the moment. Finish Line Dry is amazing stuff- lubricates, penetrates, prevents rust and doesn't attract dirt and grit and is available at your local bike shop.<br><br>
