I live 5 miles from TMI and was conceived a scant few months after the disaster. I've been talking with my dad about it for 2-3 days now and it's astonishing to see the level of similarities. He was encouraging me to have plan to get out of dodge like he had to back then. They took off all the way to Pittsburgh to stay with some family. I will say though I know some of the TMI plant workers and even now they are hyper-vigilant BECAUSE of the fault that they had before.

Still every time I look at those towers in the distance I can't help but wonder.

A few notes:
- people within 10 miles of TMI qualify for free PI3 - go to walmart if they have it it's free.. never actually gotten any but I've read the laws on it.

- every year they send out a little bulletin on TMI safety and preparedness.

- I'm more worried about the radioactivity from coal ash ponds from brunner island contaminating the susquehanna than I am about TMI going off again.
