OMG, Hiking in jeans, yep and other day hikers look at you like your a complete amateur.

I also have an Epic Sierra Jacket which is lightweight, very breathable, windproof and easily sheds light rain and is quite resistant to 'wetting' out. Being a soft shell material also means it is quite comfy to wear as well. It is excellent for those colder potentially rainy days out on the bicycle.
