If you use one, which pole-type fruit harvester would you recommend?

I would prefer a pole that is in about 3 pieces and telescopes to 15 feet or more. I would prefer a system that accets multiple types of harvesting baskets that mount on the end of the pole to handle the widest variety of fruit. Light weight a big plus.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Edit: would be useful to harvest nuts and seed pods as well.

Ace Hardware. Ames basket fruit picker, on 11 foot telescoping aluminun windowwashing pole, by way of an adapter sold for the pole to allow use of cleaning hardware like mops.

Worked well on oranges.

Looking into a harvester bag - stem cutter designed to harvest nuts and soft fruit.

Much better for my vertigo-challenged self than a ladder. Lighter, easier, and faster to deploy than a ladder.

I am also going to set the telescoping pole up for: "poke-pole" fishing in the ocean inter tidal and in freshwater, as a walking staff, and for use as a shelter ridgepole.

I have this one:
Fruit Picker - Lee Valley Tools

[no affiliation]

I use it for the two pear trees I have in by backyard. Pros are that it's cheap, and relatively easy to use. Cons are that you have to provide your own pole and it can be tiring to use after a while. You need to bring it down to get the fruit out of the bag since it gets heavy.

The pole I use is an extendable one that was meant to use with a paint roller. I had to duct tape around the connection because it was coming lose.

It is light weight and would be able to harvest a large variety a fruit. The minimum size would be larger than the space between the fingers and the max would be whatever you can fit through the top.
