- Nylon wallet (with ID, credit/debit cards and cash), - Locking folder (Ritter Grip, BM 940, Buck Vantage Pro or Sebenza), - Required keys with Atwood SS whistle and Vic Classic, - Mission Wallet (with LM Squirt E4, Vic Farmer, 1xAAA LED, ID & emergency cash) and, - my always present EDC backpack (with 27 oz Klean Kanteen water, LM Charge Ti multi-tool, FAK, 2xAA LED flashlight, spare AA batteries, toothbrush and necessary clothes for those days the weather could change. It is never further away than my truck and is often on my back or at my feet. It sees double duty as a gym bag.

Actually, this is about what we carry and the first TeacherRO thread is about "What really gets used". The "What really gets used" thread was very useful and caused me to cut back on EDC items and lighten the backpack.

Actually, this is about what we carry and the first TeacherRO thread is about "What really gets used". The "What really gets used" thread was very useful and caused me to cut back on EDC items and lighten the backpack. I read the first TeacherRO thread as being the order of use, but still it's the same stuff. Because of the other thread, I realized that I do NOT need to cut back because my least used items are essential. Anyway, for reference, here's my EDC from that other thread:http://forums.equipped.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=215470#Post215470

Yep, and I still carry stuff that didn't make the "What really gets used" list (the LM Charge Ti is rarely used, but it has so much potential in an emergency that it's hard to stop carrying).
Looking at my post in that thread, I forgot to include cell phone and sunglasses. They're must-haves as EDC goes. Also the currently running whistle thread reminds me of the Fox 40 Sharx that also lives in the back-pack. The steel whistle on my key-ring is bulletproof, but the Sharx is louder.

-Verizon G'zOne phone (water-resistant, uses standard mini-usb, has compass, thermometer, and pedometer functions) -Tissot T-touch watch (has temperature, barometer, altimeter, compass, and chronometer functions) -Surefire E1e-HA flashlight with KL4 LED head -Benchmade 707 folding knife -Leatherman Charge Ti multitool -Keys (includes little silver whistle, spare battery for flashlight, BSA hotspark ferro-rod, and some cotton tinder) -Wallet with Victorinox Swisscard Lite In all my jackets I keep a bandanna and a bic-lighter. In the summer, I throw a bandanna in my back pocket if I'm not wearing a jacket. I also have a stainless Nalgene bottle I carry around sometimes depending on what I'm doing. |
