I have to agree with Jeanette - it comes free with most Adventure Medical Kit(s) and is an amazing book. I've never seen field trauma done so well smile

The Wilderness 911 book is by the same author, Eric Weiss, as the Comprehensive guide book but in a larger size with more details.

I have been using A Comprehensive Guide to Wilderness & Travel Medicine for years. I have included a copy in my personal medical kit here in Afghanistan.

I like, and have used to good effect, Medicine for Mountaineering by James Wilkerson. I actually met the author on Denali, where he gave a very useful critique of a case we were treating.
