I am storing quantites of dry navy, pinto, and great northern beans in my 30 day cache. They are on a rack in the basement and fairly cool and dry. Some of the beans are stored in their original bag in opaque 1 gallon plastic jars.
The printed expiry date on dry beans is fairly short; less than a year.
Has anyone tried to keep dry beans for say, 3 to 5 years? How did you do it? What was the result?
