I'm curious in fashion magnetism could affect a GPS transceiver? They don't rely on magnetism at all...what am I missing?
GPS receiver. (Transceiver implies receiver/transmitter.)
Only thing I can think of is that they were using a GPS unit that has a built-in fluxgate compass. The compass could be confused but the GPS processor would not. Question is how the unit would deal with divergence between the GPS direction of travel and the fluxgate compass heading. Would it report an error? If so, would the user understand the message?
