Schwert & pvr4: Skimmed over the book last night and was a bit baffled (and caught off guard) by that part as well. I'm looking forward to re-reading it in a more relaxed setting and try to see what I missed on the first pass.

From what I've seen so far, the remainder of the book is pretty much on target. At first glance, there seem to be some pretty good physiological explainations are given for a few things that I've wondered about for a while.
