Too hard to resist.

I ordered one. Hopefully the wife wont be able to tell the difference between it and my SOG Seal Pup. . .

No idea what number I got.

Well, that simplifies the decision process. Ordered. I'll save up for a Mk3.

While I think it was worth the wait, I think you are saying its not worth the weight!

:-)

I hope you can find a more economical way (weigh?) to obtain one.

Money is not an issue. I can very easily afford to pay for the shipping 10x over however there is a point where not paying excessive fees is simply a matter of principle regardless of the cause or the benefactor.

Ordered mine and asked for a matching serial number to my MK1, MK-1 mini, and MK3. Now I have to wait :-)

You can view some images of the prototype sheath at:

http://www.dougritter.com/pp/pic3019.htm

PLEASE NOTE: the tab on the retaining strap on the production sheath will be about 1/2 as long as that on the prototype. Still plenty for one-handed operation with the stiffener, but won't stick out so far as to get caught on things.

Teslinhiker, you may be in Canada but it is for sure that being in Asia, and further beyond US , Knifeworks has a policy of minimum orders of US$100 for international orders. I found out this when I called them.

I just got the following update from our friends at knifeworks.com:

Quote:
Update on the Doug Ritter RSK MK2 that you have pre ordered:

We have been informed by Benchmade that there is a delay on the arrival as expected. Due to the unforeseen in difficulties with the sheath. We are now expecting these around the end of February. We apologize about the delay and we appreciate your understanding.

I'm glad that they sent the update. That's good customer service.
