One of the dollar stores in the area is going out of business. Everything in the store is priced at one dollar, then a 60% discount is being given. I could not resist the urge to go look for some survival/preparedness stuff. There were some vegetable and chicken soup mixes that were interesting. I passed them up. I was looking primarily for first-aid stuff. I found some. There were (past tense) 14 boxes of 4x4 bandages,; albeit only 4-ply. They came eight to a box (2 per package, 4 packages. I bought all 14 boxes. One of the boxes had 8 packages in it. So, I ended up with 60 4x4's. I also picked up a 3-inch self-adhesive wrap. It stretches to five yards. I can use it for splinting, bandage/dressing holding, and other such things. I picked up a box of 22 pantiliners. They are also multipurpose. I managed to accidentally buy a single box of the 3x3's. A two-pack of 2oz. hand sanitizers. And finally, an ice scraper. All for $8.21. I love 40-cent stores!!
